ofcourse it is recieving it from server, thats the whole thing, this is why i was surprised when Thuuning changed it, and it changed for others.
ive explained it many times, server side things cannot be changed, they only change for you, but not for others. its probably fixed and it does not need game update to be fixed.
i think that the bug was in their server system. so it temporarly stored data in your pc and when race was done, then your client sent that data back to server and then server updated it, but now they obviously fixed it, so server checks that there is no 'mysterious' adds to the points. for example if your points are stored in server, 303 points. you go into race, then server checks how many points you gained, if you gained 1 point, but server recieves like 303003 points back, then server detects the difference and simply won't update it.

good point there , I found a float of 4 bytes that only shows up in the leaderboard but.. I changed some other values,came out of the leaderboard,rankpoints were still the same but the game froze when loading the track..
So how would I go about sending a packet that confuses the server.. another thing .

you can't really 'confuse' server, as i said, it is obviously fixed.
if you wan't to play around with packets, then WPE pro and commview and with proxocket you can permanently modifiy packet/s once you have found what you looking for.

hi there, i know you dont like grid much, but i think there could be something interesting to do with it still... when you complete career mode (or when you enter a cheat) you get a few bonus cars like ebay mustang, 2 bmws and a few others... is it possible to make it so that, instead of one of these cars, you get a porsche 911 gt3? this could be a way to drive the porsche in career other than in those "driver offer" challenges...

but replacing files (method you described earlier) means all bmws become porsches.
what i wanted is the following: cheats give you one zonda, one aston, one mustang, and two bmws. i wanted to make it so that, instead of two bimmers, i got one bmw and one porsche.

oh, the BMWs use same model with different color theme ?
if that's the case, i have an idea, but i cant check. i deleted GRID long ago.
my idea is to find the place in game's memory where it tells game to load this specific car and the config for this car and replace it with porsche.
there's several methods you can use to find it, either just open "hex editor" in tsearch and just search for the bmw model (whatever the name was). for example if you find the right place in memory where game loads bmw model and replace it with porsche model, then once you select other car (just view it) and move back to bmw, it should load porsche instead.
with this one i could be wrong, but here goes:
you can use filemon and set bmw as filter (full name of bmw model file, cant tell you cuz i dont have game, it would be like bmw.mdl or something like this) then you run game in window and look in which point game loads it. that will give you an idea when game loads it so you know when it is loaded into game's memory and then find it.
basically it should be possible to make a trainer or write asm code (tsearch's easywrite) that will do this automatically after you have found it.
you can also use olly debugger to try to find the places where grid.exe loads the bmw model files. sry no tutorial about olly at this time, it is not that hard to figure out how to search. here's quick guide:

now once its loaded, click on that "M" button above (blue buttons) it opens "memory map"

Hi, can explain me please a method to load an edited .csv (car and tyregrip) for online session ?
You can make a trainer where is possible to chose in real time the .csv load ?
Tyregrip.csv load into memory some string value, example i find the value of 100 but is string type, and my unique value under string value..
when i try to edit take no effect ingame.....

Is there a way to load directly an edited .csv and bypass the check of modified game files ?
Or edit the value into a memory by loading a full .csv file without edit single value ?

you would need to find the function that loads a specific .csv into memory and then modify it so it would load your .csv instead, but then it might still say that file is modified, if thats the case, then you would have to wait until .csv is loaded and then press hotkey on your trainer so it would load whole .csv into memory and like all trainers, you would write that new .csv into new place and then point game to that.

if you changed your values in memory and still got kicked, then it means that game now has memory check too, but i highly doubt, i have never seen or heard anything like this. most likely you did something wrong.

as i said, it means that they have planted some kind of a memory check, but its still very weird. game's does not have it, they have external tools/programs to do that. like gameguard, hackshield..etc or in RE5 case it was that dumb 'windows live' shit.

With 1.3 patch don't work modding of ebay.xml and don't work anymore the hack of address value !!!

hi guys i have watched the video tutorial on how to hack grid with tsearch, then i followed the instructions to thi website for more information.
im a noob at hacking etc but wanna learn more i have got as far as understanding what most of the lines in the hex stand for after reading in these posts i changed the hex to 1 line per command, but i get slightly confused when i load tsearch, when trying to find the lines i wanted all ihave for refference is the tutorial to change the suspension if anyone could help of point me in the right direction of a decent trainer ?
any help will be appreciated

there are no trainers for these things, it is exclusively available only here.
once you have your car info in a file and one per line, then you can open game using Tsearch or any other memory editor and search for the values you see in the file. they exist many times, follow the part where i explained how to find the car in memory. my example was using courage i beliave, can't bother to read thru this right now.
for further info about how to hack, you can see the sticky threads under Game hacking or you can see Knowledge Database. just search there what you looking for, like "basic hacking".

Thears much easier way cheat in online. But you must use retail version of grid, not 1.3.

it works so, you must buy used car in career mode with good history, many wins, no wrecks
then you can get very fast car for online

if you dealing with GRID, try the latest version, because i heard that they patched a lot of hacks there.
but again, i dont cheat, i only make PoCs (proof of concepts)

1. Get Freeware Hex Editor XVI32

2. Take backup of ur ebay.xml file
3. Use hex editor and open ebay.xml file
minPerformanceIncPercentage (add value you want, you can overwrite next letters if you want add very big value)
maxPerformanceIncPercentage (add value you want)
4. save as, if ur using vista, you cant save in "Program Files" folder or its sub folders
5. replace ur ebay.xml with ur modified ebay.xml file
6. start game
7. buy used car in career mode, with good history, many wins, no wrecks
8. test drive, if it didnt work, sold the car and buy better
9. that car will work in online
you must use retail version of grid.... not 1.3

2. Take backup of ur ebay.xml file
3. Use hex editor and open ebay.xml file
minPerformanceIncPercentage (add value you want, you can overwrite next letters if you want add very big value)
maxPerformanceIncPercentage (add value you want)
4. save as, if ur using vista, you cant save in "Program Files" folder or its sub folders
5. replace ur ebay.xml with ur modified ebay.xml file
6. start game
7. buy used car in career mode, with good history, many wins, no wrecks
8. test drive, if it didnt work, sold the car and buy better
9. that car will work in online
you must use retail version of grid.... not 1.3

For 1.3 still work t-search, but there are some conditions.. example.. if freeze values I got kick from multi-player and is impossible join session.
Only some values work...

ebay.xml don't work anymore on 1.3patch
Memory editing with t-search is the best way.
The problem is that I don't know exactly how work this kind of anti-cheat of 1.3.
I have some direct experience about that example:
Use mhs is not good idea 'cause freeze or unfreeze values, and is impossible to play. Player auto-kicked from session.
T-Search work good but only on the right address, and never freeze the value, but only set on-fly with hotkey.
Into a lobby never press hotkey, even is address are right game will eject the same from session.
I don't know what reason make a distinction from addrees with the same .csv value example mass:
1140 on 345287a0 work and no kick from session
1140 on 345281a8 work but player is eject by auto-kick from session..
Then is only a heavy work select manually all address of .csv loaded into a memory and workin without kick in game.
Must be found a way to bypass this kind of check, is not a full memory check but something of similar.
I'm not expert and I think some trainer maker for grid1.3 know good what is this kind of check....
P.S. this game is still very played into multiplayer, hope seth u will make some good hack tutorial !
pps. you will make an hack tutorial for the new f1 2010 from codemasters ?

i don't really know what it might be. most likely it scans for memory changes.
ive had a theory, which i proved to be right in avp2. once server sends you the "kick" packet, then you can block it and your client (game) thinks that nothing happend and you stay in session. this won't exactly bypass the check, but it would bypass the "kick". I would go with the packets on this one, if there is a check, then something must tell the game server that check was positive (hack detected) or negative (no hack detected) and if you are able to find the packet/s that tell server this, then you can make it go back as negative always. in theory it should work.
Luigi's proxocket is perfect for such packet blocking once you have found the right packet/s.

F1, post into requests and add as much info as possible. also i took quick look and didnt even see that its released. so info and links there.

i dont understand what you talking about. what cheat ? what did you do ?
and if you havent noticed yet, i dont have cheats here. hacks and cheats are not same. cheats can be entered in GRID, in menu and they can be found by googling for "grid cheats"
if you having problems with hacks, then first thing to do, is to tell what did you do and what exactly is not working.

Hi every1, first time here for me...
I'd like to know if it would be possible to ( at least ) read the content of the profile files ( in "documents/Codemasters/GRID/savegame/autosave0" directory ).
As you may know, there always seem to be the same 15 files with strange names with no extention which -I assume- are encrypted in some way...
I have some experience in game hacking and modding mostly on N64 games which involved interpreting data that was unidentified but I've never touched anything that was encrypted or compressed and I really don't have the faintest idea where to begin with this.
One of the reason i'd like to be able to read those files on disk rather than using Tsearch is that I'd like to be able to script something ( in C++ hopefully ) that will, for example, show me instantly all the ebay motor offers and allow me to sort them and maybe perform various calculations.

unfortunetely i'm not into this sort of stuff, but if you prep a package for me (rar file with everything included) i could ask Luigi about it.
alternative is to ask on xentax forums, they do game modding and stuff, but IQ level in that forum is low, you ask them "how" and they ask "why do you even want to know" ..etc.
but with some patience you might get someone to write a tool or maybe there already is a tool to deal with savegames.
