Nightly crashes at youtube vids
Nightly crashes at youtube vids
Allright im using this browser called "Nightly". As far as i know it is a 64bit firefox browser. Anyhow, it works kinda acceptable. (I used chrome before, but it had problems on youtube videos as well) Now the problem is that the "flash player" dies and makes the browser crash. I tried to update flash player, did dl the latest java version, so idk whats the problem here. If you have any ideas they are welcome. My last idea is deinstall it, ccleaner and install it again, but mybe the problem is easier to solve. Mybe something missing?

Re: Nightly crashes at youtube vids
Nightly seem to be only for testing and there is no stable release out there.
crash you are talking about, is caused by the flash player. i have same issue after i updated flash player, only reason i updated it, is because that retarded automatic update checker kept popping up the shit in browser, even tho it was turned OFF, it still kept popping up and got too annoying, so i updated and now it keeps crashing.
so now i use Opera for youtube videos, i just can't bother reverting back to older flash, not even sure if you can get older flash anymore (maybe filehippo).
there is no need to update things like flash, its just useless to update it (and similar things).
FIX ?
i think its best to wait until they release new flash or fix that shit, because it only seem to happen when using firefox (and chrome ?)

Re: Nightly crashes at youtube vids
Happened to me too after I updated flash. Now the problem seems to have been fixed and it rarely happens, like once a month or even less.
The only thing I remember doing is going to
chrome://plugins/
and then under flash it will show 2 files of flash, disable the new one and keep the old one enabled and vice-versa.

Re: Nightly crashes at youtube vids
Ken, this issue started only like month ago lol
that's when i started getting those annoying popups that you need to update flash and i couldn't get rid of them so i got annoyed and updated and now its crashing.
firefox still works ok on my site and some others, but flash based fucks it up quite bad.

Re: Nightly crashes at youtube vids
I've had those crashes and freezes from more than just one month.
My issue might be different one then but it used to freeze or crash at youtube.

Re: Nightly crashes at youtube vids
I deactivated the new update on crhome and now chrome works. Nightly however, doesnt seem to have such an option to disable new updates. U can either update or let it be. Manualy removing it and searchin for new updates is a bit too much work so it seems like i dont have a choice but to stick to chrome when it comes to youtube videos.
