[request] facebook comment program

Post by Vizzar »

I am looking for a simple program that refreshes the page constantly and instantly comments on a new comment that is posted.

I want it to ask me what I want to say when the option to comment is available.

basically it just presses f5 over and over and over until a new comment is posted, then posts what I specify as soon as it possibly can.

can anyone do this?

it doesnt actually seem like it'd be THAT hard to make.. but I could be wrong.

to me facebook updates anything in real time, i don't need to refresh a page to see new comments. they appear in real time, just like the facebook chat window. as soon as someone comments, i see it.
you must be using some stupid browser or blocking cookies, sessions ..etc. no idea, works for me.

there is a firefox plugin called "refresh every x" that does this, it can refresh a page as often as you want.
from there, you have to use commview (or any other packet sniffer with such option) and make a filter to capture the "new comment" and then it can sound an alert for you, like play a sound when new comment arrives.

alternative is to enable facebook notifications upon new comments. make a new filter in your email so it puts all facebook notifications into seperate folder.
then get thunderbird and enable the alert upon new email in specific folder, as far as i know, thunderbird allows alerts.
or if not, again use commview to setup an alert.

commview can also be used to execute a program, so you can make some kind a batch that automatically takes you to facebook. more like script. there are tons of plugins for firefox that can run automated script. so commview would execute it as soon as comment arrives and then it takes you to comments and opens the window where you can put your response.

as you said yourself, not hard, but you need to use your brain little bit to get something out of few tools.
i would first go see firefox plugins, not sure what to search, .. maybe some automated script thingy.

a firefox plugin sounds fine to me, but I don't want to post myself, I want a script that just instantly posts what I specify the second a new comment comes up.

as i said, find a program that can post. you can easily do so using WPE pro or other tool like that. maybe using NetTools 5
and then you just use commview to execute it. not sure if you can execute WPE pro send with commview, but there are other tools that might support some batching system. google is the way to go on this one.

in theory it will work fine, but you are the one who needs to find proper tools and combine them.
have you already checked firefox plugins ? maybe they have something like that.

I searched on google.. not finding anything that can do what I'm looking for.

isn't there an easier way to set it up rather than have one program collect it and then use some other program to run a batch file?

I'm not really experienced in doing that.. I wouldn't know how unless shown

if you are programmer, its easy. you just write your own script / program and thats it.

why would you look firefox plugin on google ? to me it seems like you are not interested in learning at all.
i have no interest in such tool and im not going to test. i just told you the concept of this, how it could be done without any programming knowledge.

UPDATE:
as i tought you are just bullshitting .. i doubt you checked over 300 plugins.
there are over 300 plugins for firefox contining word facebook. you could at least go over them and see, maybe there is such plugin already.

can you link to me where you found 300 facebook plugins? I didn't find that many. and I really did look.. lol

I'm requesting a script from a programmer that cares to put the time in to do this.

I will pay for a fnished product.. or a method to do so with using existing programs.

I'm not a programmer myself, and I'm not experienced in things like wpe pro and commview.
