Re: Sopa
wanna bet that not for long ?
SOPA is just another law made by some headless morons who think that USA can control the world, well they CAN'T.
what they achieve with this, is just that ppl host their sites in russia, iran, iraq, india..etc and in other countries where USA have no power at all. and then they give them middle finger.
unless USA wants to start WW3, they not going to do a damn thing about it, because they can't.
also for example in germany some ISPs are not allowed to log IPs, so as soon as you request new IP, they can't track you anymore. ppl will get 100mbit lines and host sites from home, using dyndns ip changes everyday, so even if they want, they can't do jack shit about it.
anyone remember thepiratebay ? finally some law got to them, they sold their site for 5 million EUR and what changed ? NOTHING.
piratebay is still up and running with new owners.
SOPA achieves nothing. all they get is make rest of the world hate USA more, thats all. and maybe ppl like "anonymous legion" and similar will step against them and fuck their own sites up. thats all.
i bet megaupload will be up and running again in no time, maybe with different name tho. probably megaupload owners were too stupid to host domain and files in different places, otherwise it would be up already.
oh yea and if im correct, sopa means ass in russian :)

Re: Sopa
i couldn't bother checking all of them, but VideoBB is up and running.
also all of these sites seem to be in USA, so it's obvious. let them waste their money and time .. they must be some ballless donkeys who has nothing better to do than just killing world piece and internet community.
I doubt one of those jerkoffs reads this, but they should THINK what they are doing !
1. What will people do if they can't download stuff they like ? they will start looking for something else to do, like go into shop and STEAL and everyone knows that there is always risk that someone gets hurt or dies.
2. Instead of being ignorant assholes, they should realize that it is developers fault that their shit gets shared, not the ppl who share and crack stuff. Instead of shitting everything up and WASTING their money on this nonsense, they could help developers make better copy protection systems !
- not possible to make uncracked game / software ? ..check artificialaiming.net or check MMO games. i haven't seen crack for MMO game, like ever. so its simple, make them all partially online ! companys do it, so ppl will crack their software and use it more, its free advertisement for their software if it gets cracked. If windows would be uncrackable, i would be using linux, i would never buy windows ..and same with A LOT of programs. such as CommView. I like the tool, but paying 500usd for that is WAY too much for me. So i use cracked version and i advertise it a lot, they should give me free copy for that. i suggest commview to everyone.
get the point ? they are just some dickless assholes trying to bring chaos into world or maybe they trying to start WW3 ? either way .. it has NOTHING to do with "protect and serve" more like "punish and enslave"
3. at end, nothing will change, all these sites will be up and running. i don't know owners of these sites, so to the public nothing changes. they just host them outside US, somewhere in russia or some other country where they get middle finger.
4. i already have good idea how to laugh into their face :) If someone reads this, give this idea to everyone who might be interested. these big hosting sites, like megaupload, filesonic ..etc. Instead of having plain files, they can add function that encrypts each file + filename and assigns some seriously long and strong password to it (random) at upon upload, it gives you the link + password and never stores it.
so if FBI checks into it, then all they get is bunch of encrypted files that look like 93488945894832948324230432894238942389.rar
First they would have to spend 1000 years cracking files and filenames to even see if there's something illegal in there.
I doubt they would spend 10 years googling for links and looking if someone posts some password in public. that too can be "bypassed" by making a rule on site not to give out direct links, so it wouldn't show up in search engines.
