Problem

When you are using wireless connection, either USB adapter or PCI adapter and in same time plug in LAN cable connected to router, then windows will knock out the wireless, because windows automatically thinks that LAN line is better.
my problem was that i only wanted to connected 2 pcs thru router, but router/modem did not had DSL line connected, i was using wireless.
so i wanted to stay in internet while connected to router.

leave "default gateway" blank for your LAN connection.
in windows xp:
start
control panel
network and internet connections
network connections
right click your LAN (local area connection) < where router is connected
properties
in the small box, scroll down to "internet protocol (TCP/IP)"
highlight it and click on properties
there select "use the following IP address"
IP > this must be IP between your router and pc, usually something like 192.168.1.x or 192.168.0.x
-if you do not know this, connect your computer normally to LAN line and then double click your local area connections, there click on "support" tab. there you will see IP, use this.
subnet mask should pop up automatically when you click on it, if not, then put "255.255.255.0"
leave "default gateway" blank, if it already has some IP, remove it.
Special thanks to SomaFm who helped me with it on Luigi's forums
